This coming Saturday, the 23rd of March, marks the return of K-1 hero “Iron” Mike Zambidis.
The Greek fighter, 38, ends a layoff of over three years when he faces Antonio Gomez as part of the Breakout Fighting Championship event taking place in Ludwigsburg, Germany (Fight 24 PPV).
“Iron Mike” has given fans plenty of excitement over the years, and many fans are looking forward to seeing the Greek legend back in the ring.
Why did Zambidis decide to come back for a boxing fight?
In an interview for the DK Fight Promotion, the fighter said one of his “unsatisfied desires” was to compete in professional boxing since he competed 40 times for the national boxing team.
Despite having over 150 fights, this will be the first fight for Zambidis in Germany, a place he always wanted to fight.
