Enfusion heavyweight champion Luis Tavares is vacating his title and moving down to the 95 KG weight category, the promotion announced Friday. Contender Martin “Paco” Pacas of Slovakia will face young Dutch hopeful Levi Rigters for the vacant heavyweight crown at the massive “Enfusion Belt Night” event on October 27 in Oberhausen, Germany.
Tavares most recently defended his title with a stoppage win over Faith Ulosoy at Enfusion 63 in March. In June, Tavares won a non title bout against Iran’s Kamran Aminzadeh on points.
Because Enfusion does not have a “strong enough” 95 kg weight category, Tavares is allowed to compete “in another promotion the coming two years, where the 95 Kg is a key weight and after we will renegotiate”, according to the Enfusion statement.
In other Enfusion news, the promotion is signing Belgian heavyweight Nidal Bchiri. Bchiri knocked down and stopped K-1 and Glory veteran Errol Zimmerman last weekend at Enfusion 70 in Antwerp.
