MAS Fight: Buakaw Faces Ngimbi

Two-time K-1 World Max Champion and legend Buakaw Banchamek will now face Chris “The African Warrior” Ngimbi at the MAS Fight event in Cambodia on 27 October.

Ngimbi, 33, is a replacement for China’s Yuan Bin. Fighting out of Belgium by way of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ngimbi is a longtime veteran of the sport, previously holding titles in the It’s Showtime and Superkombat organizations.

The bout will be held under MAS Fight rules. A bout consists of a single nine-minute round with the fighters wearing 5 oz gloves. A fighter can only win by KO or TKO. If neither fighter kayos his opponent, the fight is ruled a draw. Elbows, knees, and standing submissions are permitted under MAS Fight rules.
