Hemmers: Glory Promised Ben Saddik Shot
Trainer Nick Hemmers was interviewed by Dutch broadcaster Veronica, and spoke about the status of heavyweight Jamal Ben Saddik. Ben Saddik is currently the top-ranked challenger for reigning Glory Heavyweight Champion Rico Verhoeven after he won an eight-man heavyweight tournament at Glory 62 last December.
Hemmers told the channel Ben Saddik was supposed to be next in line to face Glory champion Rico Verhoeven.
“it was promised that Jamal would get a chance to win the title because he had won the GLORY 8-man heavyweight tournament in December 2018,” Hemmers told Veronica (translated).
“It is now up to GLORY to come up with something, we want to be the winner of Rico vs Badr, whoever that may be.”
