Former GLORY interim champion Kevin Vannostrand has replaced Aleksei Ulianov as the challenger for featherweight champion Petchpanomrung Kiatmookao in the GLORY 72 main event.
GLORY 72 takes place on 23 November at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois. It’s the second night of the “Weekend of GLORY event – GLORY 71 takes place the night before at the same venue.
The Petch-Vannostrand bout is a rematch of a bout that took place at GLORY 55 in July 2018. The Thai defeated New York’s Vannostrand by unanimous decision.
Kiatmookao went on to win the GLORY Featherweight Title in his next bout from Robin van Roosmalen, and has successfully defended against Serhii Adamchuk and Anvar Boynazarov heading into the rematch.
Vannostrand has won two straight since the loss to Petch. He’s scored unanimous decision wins against Massaro Glunder and former featherweight champion Adamchuk.
Vannostrand was scheduled to face Boynazarov at GLORY 72.
