Jon J. Franklin, the longtime GLORY executive, has accepted a position as the Chief Executive Officer of the World Pro Ski Tour. Franklin tweeted the news today.

Franklin came to GLORY with a background in professional boxing, working with the late promoter Dan Goossen in the America Presents organization.

Franklin served as the GLORY Chief Executive Officer before he transitioned to Chief Development Officer in January 2018. Marshall Zelaznik, a former UFC executive, was brought in as the GLORY CEO and remains the top GLORY executive.

Franklin is credited for brokering the deal with ESPN that kept GLORY on the airwaves after their deal with Spike TV ended. ESPN was the U.S. broadcaster for GLORY numbered events for a few years before the organization jumped to UFC Fight Pass this year.

The World Pro Ski Tour hold events all over the United States, and is broadcast nationally in the U.S. on the CBS Sports Network.

  1. I think that’s the only country GLORY is working with DAZN. GLORY used to be broadcast by the Combate channel there, but I guess they have switched.

  2. I noticed that in Brazil Glory events are going to be broadcasted by DAZN. Do you know if there is another country in the deal?
