The Enfusion organization is promoting an event in Belgrade, Serbia this Friday June 28.
The fight card includes a four-man heavyweight tournament, with the winner earning a place in a December tournament to be held in Abu Dhabi.
The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix tournament will also be a four-man affair with €25,000 in prize money. Giannis Stoforidis of Greece has already earned a place in the Grand Prix with his victory in a tournament held in Darmstadt, Germany in May.
Enfusion contender Nidal Bchiri of Belgium will compete in Friday’s tournament. Bchiri defeated former K-1 contender Errol “Bonecrusher” Zimmerman in impressive fashion last year. He then challenged Enfusion Heavyweight Champion Levi Rigters for the title in February, but lost a unanimous decision.
Bchiri faces Aissa Boulaem of France in the first semifinal.
On the other side of the bracket is talented young Serbian Rade Opacic. The young fighter competed in the +100 kg Kunlun Fight tournament in February, and won his first round bout before he lost by TKO to tournament champion Roman Kryklia in the semifinals.
Opacic faced Slovakian veteran Martin “Paco” Pacas in April, but the more-experienced Pacas was too sharp for the young fighter. Opacic, fighting before the home crowd, faces Daniel Galabarov of Bulgaria in the second semifinal.
Enfusion heavyweight king Rigters is also scheduled for action in a non-title bout.
Here is the fight card (subject to change). Enfusion Live will broadcast.
