Enfusion returned to Slovakia for Enfusion 65. Hosted by Diamond Gym, the event at the Zilina Ice Hockey Stadium featured some upsets, a title fight main event, and a devastating one punch knockout by veteran Marvin Monteiro.
Vladimir Moravcik (SLO) TKO4 Nampon Top Phuket Team (Retains Enfusion 80kg Title)
Moravcik retained his title against the Thai with a series of knees to the body and head from the clinch that led to the referee stopping the fight. It looked like Nampon was blocking some of the shots with his arms but he was offering little resistance.
Milan Paleš (SLO) TKO1 Yussef Challouki (BEL)-72.5kg
Pales stunned Challouki, an Enfusion 2018 72.5kg Tournament finalist, dropping and stopping the young Belgian in 2 1/2 minutes. Pales started quickly, while Challouki blocked a lot with his high guard, Pales landed some knees to the body inside. Challouki started to pick up his workrate, but a body shot hurt him and a head punch dropped him. Challouki got up and looked to be gathering his wits. But another Pales combination dropped him and the towel came in. Pales improves to 30-1-7. Challouki is now 27-1-2.
Martin Pacas (SLO) TKO1 Yurii Gorbenko (UKR)-95kg
The taller Pacas, the top ranked Enfusion heavyweight contender, worked the body kick early. An inside low kick badly damaged Gorbenko’s leg and the bout was stopped for an eight count. Pacas followed up with punches and kicks. Gorbenko could not effectively compete because of his leg so he took the count on a knee. Pacas is in line for a shot at the heavyweight title, and his record is now 38-0-9(11). Gorbenko is now 23-0-13(7).
Marvin Monteiro(Cape Verde) KO2 Stefan Meszaros(SLO) -72.5kg
The fighters swapped leg kicks early. Meszaros scored a knockdown with a left jab after missing with an axe kick. In the second, Monteiro scored a devastating one punch knockout. Monteiro landed a monster left hook on the chin of a hands-down Monteiro that stiffened and dropped the Slovakian fighter. The bout was immediately halted. Monteiro improves to 62-2-12(16). Meszaros is now 21-1-9(4).
Monika Chochliková UD3 Catia Batista-51kg Female
The taller Chochlikova landed some good body kicks at range and also controlled the clinch. The 20-year-old Batista had some success when she came forward, but was outgunned overall by Chochlikova. Chochlikova improves to 7-0-2(4). Batista is now 5-0-4.
Daniel Kolasinki WD3 Michal Helbich-80kg
Polish southpaw Kolasinki took the fight on only a couple of days notice, according to the commentator. He pulled off the upset over Helbich however, knocking down the local fighter twice in the second round and winning a decision. A spinning backfist dropped “Hellboy” and a knee to the body put him down again later. Helbich landed some good punches, but the Polish fighter’s unorthodox style and more damaging blows earned him the victory. Kolasinki improves to 26-0-5(5). Helbich is now 25-0-7(2).
