Danny Parker, an exciting young British fighter who resides in Cyprus, has been added to the KOK event in Kaunas, Lithuania. Parker will face Sigitas Gaizauskas of Lithuania in a welterweight bout at the September 21 gala.
The teenage Parker impressed in his bout against Stefanos Argyrou at the KOK summer event in Cyprus. Parker got hit with some good shots early, but found his rhythm and battled back, before a late Argyrou rally earned the Cypriot fighter the decision. KOK and FightBox commentator Daniel Austin proclaimed the Argyrou-Parker battle as the evening’s “fight of the night”, and KOK fans will welcome Parker’s addition to the event.
Gaizauskas has trained in Thailand. Unfortunately, the Lithuanian fighter was injured in Thailand and had to take time off. Gaizauskas returned to defeat Youssef El Hadmi of Morocco at the KOK Hero’s event in Vilnius in March.
Rodrigo Mineiro of Brazil and the touted Mindaugas Narauskas will rematch their previous draw in a 71 kg match up. Nauraskas defeated Spain’s Boum Lambarki by stoppage at KOK 55 in March.
