The Martialism Square promotion, better known as MAS Fight, announced yesterday decorated Thai fighter Yodwicha Banchamek will face Rodrigo Caporal at the May 28 event in Hong Kong.
Former Lumpinee Stadium champion Banchamek has recently fought for kickboxing promotion EM Legend, and picked up a win in a Muay Thai fight at the All Star event last month. Yodwicha defeated Ruiz Renozo of Spain by unanimous decision.
Caporal fights out of Hong Kong by way of Brazil. He’s recently competed in MMA matches for Kunlun Fight and Road FC, and his overall record is listed as 14-8, according to MMA record keeping website Tapology.
MAS Fight bouts utilize a unique rule set. Bouts are contested over a single nine minute round. A fighter can only win by knockout, and there are no judges. Fighters wear 5 ounce gloves, and elbows, knees, throws, and sweeps are allowed in addition to punching and kicking.
