The International Lethwei Federation Japan announced Wednesday UFC veteran Julija Stoliarenko will return to the organization at the Lethwei in Japan 14 event taking place on 2 October in Tokyo.
The Lithuanian fighter won the ILFJ Women’s Title in 2017, a belt she captured with a second-round TKO win over Vo Ro Ni Ka of Myanmar.
Stoliarenko will meet Japan’s Yuiga in a 66 kg contracted weight bout.
The ILFJ uses traditional Lethwei rules. Headbutts are permitted, a fighter must win by ko or the bout is a draw, and each fighter gets an “injury timeout” which is often used when a fighter is knocked out or seriously dazed.
Before the Lithuanian champion heads to Japan, Stoliarenko will be in action at the KOK World Series in Kaunas event taking place on 21 September. She’ll face Victoria Dvaraninovich of Belarus in a 62 kg contest to be fought under KOK kickboxing rules.
