Tuesday Morning Updates: ACB KB, KOK, Holzken

Some new match ups have been added to the next KOK show. ACB KB announced the venue and some of the talent appearing on their February show. And a Holzken update…

KOK releases two more match ups for February 24 event
KOK Fights announced two more match ups for the KOK  54 event in Riga, Latvia, next month. Tomas Steponkevicius of Lithuania faces Alexei Marazykin of Latvia in 3 round matchup under KOK rules with a weight limit of 85kg. In a 93kg fight also scheduled for 3 rounds under KOK rules, Spain’s Toni Rubio will meet Reinis Porozovs of Latvia. The middleweight final fight between Moucine Chafi and Zaur Dzavadov was previously announced.

ACB KB announces venue and fighters for February 24
ACB KB announced it will return to the Halles Georges Carpienter for its second event in Paris, ACB 13, on February 24. Ten fights are planned for the card. Among the fighters scheduled for the event, billed as “From Paris with war” are former Tatneft and Superkombat champion Igor Bugaenko, K-1 veteran Freddy Kemayo, Perviz Abdullayev, French champion Samy Sana, and veteran Yuri Bessmertny, who has competed in Legend and Glory and other notable events.

Holzken returns February 3
Nieky Holzken has had some tough luck in Glory recently. The former Glory middleweight champ lost his belt and a subsequent rematch to Cedric Doumbe by decision, and was then outscored by Alim Nayibev in a hard fought three round affair last December. Holzken announced his next fight will take place in February, but apparently it won’t be in a kickboxing ring. Looks like Holzken, who has trained in boxing at the Mayweather Gym in Las Vegas, is getting some ring time in boxing under his belt.
