Ammari Diedrick, voted the top male UK fighter of 2018 by an independent rankings panel, will debut for the GLORY promotion at the GLORY 65 event on 17 May in Utrecht, Netherlands. The news was announced today.
Diedrick faces Dani Traore of Germany in a middleweight bout as part of the preliminary card.
The Derby resident earned a contract with the organization when he won the Road to Glory 3 tournament last October. Diedrick defeated Louis King, Jordan Smith, and Darren Antsey to earn a £2000 prize and multi-fight deal.
Fellow Brit and training partner Bailey Sugden was also added to the GLORY 65 event. Sugden faces Thong Fairtex of Thailand in the opening bout of the GLORY 65 main card.
Another preliminary bout was made official. Dutchman Jos Van Belzen faces Percy de Maeyer of Belgium in a lightweight match up. It’s the promotional debut for both fighters.
