Joe Taylor said he’d give the fans a knockout, and he delivered.
The GLORY middleweight veteran scored a spectacular knockout over Jay Jackson Saturday in Lockport, New York at the “Night of Champions” event promoted by Lace Up Promotions.
In round three, Taylor went upstairs with his left leg after he threw a couple of jabs, and the kick landed with a devastating impact.
The win marked a successful homecoming for “Son of a Legend”, who is from the area and hadn’t fought locally in more than a year. Taylor also won the WKA U.S. Cruiserweight Title with the victory.
Taylor is 2-1 in GLORY, and last fought for the organization in February. He defeated top Chilean fighter Ivan Galaz by split decision at GLORY 63.
