Steven Seagal Involved in Kickboxing Event
Legendary action film star Steven Seagal, best known for his work in films such as “Marked for Death” and “Under Siege”, is involved with the Zhara Fight promotion which is running a big event on Wednesday May 30 at Vegas City Hall in Moscow. The promotion announced today that the veteran actor and master aikido practitioner is heading Zhara Fight, which plans to not only promote kickboxing events but events featuring different types of martial arts.

“”My long-standing dream was to try myself as a sports promoter and, finally, here in Russia, my dream came true. On May 30, 2018, we will present to the fans of professional fights the first unprecedented show with the participation of the world’s kickboxing stars,” Seagal is quoted as saying in a social media post(translated from Russian).

Thus far, Zhara Fight has assembled a solid card featuring some top talent from Russia and Belarus. Here are the fights Zhara Fight has announced so far. No information yet on whether a stream will be available.

Phoenix Fighting Championship Announces Matches for Phoenix 8: McSweeney Scheduled
Phoenix Fighting Championship announced some of the matches scheduled for Phoenix 8: Bangkok Edition, which takes place Tuesday May 22 at the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. MMA star James McSweeney is scheduled for action. McSweeney returned to kickboxing in January, and won his fight at the Mix Fight Championship event in Turkey impressively.

Here are the fights announced so far. Phoenix Fighting Championship announced the event will be streamed on Facebook. No word yet on whether Fite TV will also stream like they did last time.

Enfusion announced today the promotion signed Nordin van Roosmalen to a fighter contract. The talented van Roosmalen, who is the brother of GLORY champion Robin van Roosmalen, lost a close decision to Redouan Laarkoubi in February.

In other Enfusion news, the promotion uploaded a couple of fights from Saturday’s Enfusion 67 event at The Hague, Netherlands to their YouTube channel. The fights between Ismael Benali and Paul Jansen, and young phenoms Kevin Henneken and Mohamed Boutasaa are available for viewing. Here is a link to the Enfusion YouTube channel.

GLORY veteran and former WBC Muay Thai champion Steve McKinnon won a five round decision over Chris Bradford Saturday in Melbourne, Australia. The bout headlined the Powerplay 37 event. The 41-year-old Australian Mckinnon has competed all over the world, and competed in a couple of early GLORY events, losing to Michael Duut and Filip Verlinden on points.

Mateusz Duczmal, who fights out of the Bad Company Gym in the UK, defeated Raymond Bonte of the Netherlands to win the Global Fights 95kg title Saturday in Holland.

ACB KB Releases Best of ACB KB 15 Video
ACB KB released a new video featuring highlights and behind the scenes footage from the big ACB KB 15 gala in Moscow on April 20.
