ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong announced today the organization will hold two fight cards on 13 October in Tokyo to commemorate the promotion’s milestone 100th event.
The ONE: Century event will feature two separate fight cards consisting of eleven bouts each, featuring “world championship title fights, world grand prix championship title fights, and much more.”
The morning fight card will be broadcast live in the United States on the Turner Network Televison (TNT) channel, a cable and satellite channel available in almost 90 million American homes. With the time differential between the United States and Japan, American fight fans will be able to watch the morning ONE event live in the evening on Saturday October 12.
The evening fight card “will air live across 140+ countries,” according to Sityodtong’s post.
Sityodtong previously announced the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing Grand Prix final will take place at ONE: Century. Italian legend Giorgio Petrosyan meets French champion Samy Sana with the tournament title and $1,000,000 prize money at stake. The finals of the organization’s MMA lightweight and flyweight tournaments are also scheduled to take place, as well as three MMA title fights.
According to the One Championship boss, ONE: Century “will be the biggest martial arts extravaganza in history.”
