Forbes Magazine spoke to One Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong, and the promotion’s executive told Forbes contributor Brian Mazique the organization expects to finalize an American television contract in the next couple of months.
In the article, Sityodtong tells the writer One Championship is speaking to more than one broadcaster regarding a deal, and “You will see a major U.S. TV deal coming before the end of the year.”
It will be interesting to see which broadcast company One Championship ends up working with. The UFC will be moving to ESPN, so it’s unlikely ESPN would broadcast another MMA organization. Bellator is broadcast on the Spike Network, and NBC Sports Network broadcasts Professional Fighter’s League events. Hopefully, any broadcast agreements includes coverage of the One Super Series action.
