One Championship today announced it signed Superlek Kiatmoo9, a 23-year-old Thai fighter who has held stadium titles in two weight categories and a WBC Muay Thai championship.
Kiatmoo9 held two Lumpinee Stadium championships and has over 100 wins on his record, according to the press release. The youngster fights out of the Kiatmoo9 gym in Buriram, and is trained by his uncle Singdam Kiatmoo9.
The Kiatmoo9 signing adds yet another Thai standout to the One roster. Muay Thai legend Yodsanklai Fairtex, Jo Nattawut, Sorgraw Petchyindee Academy, and Nong-O Gaiyanghadao are some of the Thai fighters that appear regularly on One events. The promotion holds events in Bangkok regularly, and already has three events scheduled there in 2019.
No mention was made of when Kiatmoo9 will debut for the organization.
The next ONE event takes place on 19 January. There are two Super Series bouts scheduled for the event. Joseph Lasiri faces Jonathan Haggerty in a flyweight (61.2 kg) bout under Muay Thai rules. In a kickboxing contest, Florent Kaouachi meets Steve McKinnon in a middleweight match up.
