Singapore-based promotion ONE Championship announced the creation of two new kickboxing titles with the champions to be crowned at next month’s ONE: Mark of Greatness event. ONE: Mark of Greatness takes place on 6 December at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The two new championships are in the strawweight (56.7 KG) and bantamweight (65.8 KG) weight categories, and the four fighters competing for the belts are official.
Decorated Muay Thai champion Sam-O Gaiyanghadao of Thailand meets Wang Junguang of China for the ONE Strawweight Kickboxing World Championship.
Russia’s Alaverdi Ramazanov faces another Chinese competitor, Zhang Chenglong, for the ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Championship.
The winners will join Stamp Fairtex (Atomweight), Ilias Ennahachi (Flyweight), Giorgio Petrosyan (Featherweight), and Regian Eersel (Lightweight) as reigning ONE Kickboxing titleholders.
Also taking place at ONE: Mark of Greatness is a light heavyweight kickboxing contest between Romanian star Andrei “Mr KO” Stoica and Brazilian veteran Anderson “Braddock” Silva.
Rui Botelho of Portugal faces Taiki Naito of Japan in a flyweight bout to be fought under Muay Thai rules.
