News & Notes: Glory 52 card changes, Enfusion, KOK

GLORY Kickboxing sent out a press release Friday announcing some changes to the Glory 52 and Glory 52 Superfight Series events March 31 in Long Beach, California. The most notable change is there won’t be a middleweight contender tournament on the Glory 52 main card. Canadian Robert Thomas was scheduled to compete in the tournament, but was injured and now the whole middleweight contender tournament has been scrapped.

Former middleweight champion Simon Marcus was scheduled to compete in the tournament, but now Marcus will face Zack “King of War” Wells. Wells is unbeaten in 4 fights and fights out of the Bang Muay Thai camp. He’ll be a huge underdog against Marcus, who’s had over 50 professional fights and fought at the highest levels in both kickboxing and Muay Thai. Marcus-Wells is the co-headline bout.

Jason Wilnis, another former middleweight champion, was supposed to face top ranked Yousri Belgaroui in one of the tournament semifinals. Wilnis and Belgaroui will now fight at the Glory 53 Superfight Series on May 12 in Lille, France. GlorySuper Bantamweight champion Anissa Meksen’s nontitle bout with Ashley Nichols was shifted from the Glory 52 main card to the Glory 52 Superfight Series.

Here are the current fight lineups for Glory 52 and the Glory 52 Superfight Series. One fight will be added to the Superfight Series card.
