“Bad News”-Jansen at June 23 Enfusion event
Rising star “Bad News” Endy Semeleer will face tough Paul Jansen at the June 23 Enfusion event in Groningen, Netherlands.

The 22-year-old Semeleer is on a big winning streak. He won the year end 8 man tournament in Abu Dhabi last December, and has defeated both Nordin Ben Moh and former 75kg champion Radouan Laarkoubi so far in 2018. Semeleer is tentatively scheduled to face Enfusion 75kg champion Aziz Kallah in October.

Both fighters fought at the Enfusion 67 event last weekend. Semeleer defeated Ben Moh on points. Jansen was less successful, losing to Ismael Benali by decision. The main event for the June 23 event is the “Turkish Turbine” Tayfun Ozacan against Mohamed Khamal.

Baya-Jauncey Rematch Announced for GLORY 54
GLORY lightweight contenders Chris Baya and Josh Jauncey will fight a rematch at the GLORY 54 event June 2 in Birmingham, UK. The two fighters previously fought in November 2016, with Baya winning a majority decision. Baya, who fights out of the famed Mike’s Gym, challenged lightweight champion Sitthichai at GLORY 50 in February, losing a clear cut unanimous decision. The Dutch fighter is ranked #2 among Glory 70kg fighters, right behind top contender Marat Grigorian.

Jauncey is coming off a split decision win over Stoyan Koprivienski at GLORY 52 in Los Angeles in March. A win over Baya would probably catapult the Canuck up into the top three, and put him in line for a title elimination fight or title shot.
