News & Notes: ACB KB, Flaviu Moldovan, K-1 March Mega Card

ACB KB 14 Update
We are 2 days away from ACB KB’s first event of 2018. “From Paris With War” takes place on Saturday February 24 in France, and ACB confirmed they are planning to stream the event on YouTube. Meanwhile, the promotion is working hard on their March return to Russia. ACB KB announced a couple of the matches yesterday for their March 23 event in Orel, titled “ACB KB 14-Diamonds”.

The talented Vlad Tuynov will face Japan’s Yu Horono in the main event. Tuynov, nicknamed “Brilliant”, has competed for W-5 and also Mix Fight Championship (formerly Mix Fight Gala). Horono is a veteran who’s competed for K-1 and Krush. Also, Sergei Chadin is scheduled to take on Dutch veteran William Dinder.

Adegbuyi Coach Featured in Local Chicago Newspaper
Flaviu Moldovan, a coach of top Glory heavyweight contender Benjamin Adegbuyi, spoke to local newspaper The Daily Herald about Adegbuyi’s preparation for last Friday’s heavyweight tournament at Glory 51. You can find the story here.

K-1 K.Festa March 21: Mega Card Planned for Japan
There are some great shows planned for March. The Badr Hari-Hesdy Gerges rematch takes place at Glory 51 on March 3 in Rotterdam, Netherlands. A few days later, Enfusion will hold an event that features Buakaw fighting for the Enfusion 70kg belt against Jonay Risco of Spain. Enfusion 63 takes place on March 9 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

K-1 meanwhile will return to the famed Saitama Super Arena in Tokyo to hold its own blockbuster event, billed as “K’Festa.1”. An eight man super featherweight championship tournament is scheduled. There are also SIX K-1 World GP title matches on tap, including recent tournament winner Chingiz Allazov against K-1 Max veteran Hinata.  Here is a list of the title fights  posted on the K-1 website.
