Japanese superstar Tenshin Nasukawa announced today he’ll face Fritz Biagtan of the Philippines at the Rizin 15 event on 21 April in Yokohama, Japan.
It’s the first fight in Rizin for Tenshin since his boxing exhibition with Floyd Mayweather on New Year’s Eve. Mayweather blasted out the smaller Japanese fighter in the first round. Because the bout was an exhibition and in boxing, the 20-year-old still carries a listed unbeaten record of 29-0 in kickboxing.
Nasukawa recently fought in the quarterfinals of the RISE World Series, where he knocked out Federico Roma in the third round. He’ll face Serkim PK SaenchaiMuayThaiGym in the 58 kg category semifinals in July.
According to the fighter’s announcement, his Rizin opponent Biagtan came “recommended by Manny Pacquiao”.
Biagtan has competed in kickboxing and MMA, and also has a 1-0 record in pro boxing.
