Romanian star Catalin Morosanu announced on social media Tuesday he’ll face Britain’s Daniel Sam on 8 June.
The heavyweight bout will headline a Dynamite Fighting Show event taking place in Cluj Napoca, Romania.
It’s a rematch of a bout that took place in March 2016 in Puerto Rico. Sam defeated Morosanu by split decision in the three-round bout, that took place on a Superkombat fight card.
The Morosanu-Sam rematch was originally expected to take place in April. Apparently, Morosanu has been busy with television commitments, so now the date is set for June.
The Romanian slugger is 3-0 in bouts with Dynamite Fighting Show. He defeated Freddy Kemayo on points in the organization’s first show last July, then stopped Mehmet Ozer and demolished MMA fighter Ivo Cuk in subsequent appearances.
Sam is currently the top ranked + 95 kg K-1 rules fighter in the U.K. He recently fought in the Kunlun Fight +100 kg Heavyweight Tournament, but lost in the quarterfinals by second round stoppage to Asihati.
GLORY heavyweight contender Benjamin Adegbuyi is also scheduled to compete on the 8 June event in a boxing match. Adegbuyi is unbeaten in professional boxing, and won by knockout at a Dynamite Fighting event last summer.
