Catalin Morosanu achieved a second straight win under the Dynamite Fighting Show banner, stopping Turkish rival Mehmet Ozer Friday night in Piatra Neamt, Romania.
Morosanu, a popular star in his native Romania who has fought for many top organizations, needed less than a round to best Ozer. “Carpathian Death” is known as a heavy puncher, but it was low kicks that ended matters for the Turk.
A low kick obviously hurt Ozer, who grimaced and received an eight count from referee Caesar Gheorghe. After the action resumed, Morosanu kept up the pressure, and a couple more low kicks caused Ozer to turn his back and the fight was stopped after another count.
Romanian sports website sport.ro reported a Morosanu kick broke Ozer’s foot.
