Romanian superstar Catalin Morosanu announced his next opponent today.
“Carpathian Death” will face British big man Daniel Sam in a heavyweight fight to take place in Romania in April, likely in the city of Cluj, according to Romanian news site sport.ro.
There is some unfinished business between the two fighters. Sam edged Morosanu via split decision at a Superkombat event in Puerto Rico in March 2016.
Morosanu is 3-0 in bouts with the Dynamite Fighting Show organization. He defeated K-1 veteran Freddy Kemayo via decision last July to avenge a 2008 defeat at Dynamite Fighting Show 1, then scored quick knockouts over Mehmet Ozer and Ivo Cuk at the last two events.
Sam appears to have been inactive since 2017, but is still regarded as a top British fighter. The veteran has fought for many top promotions including GLORY, Enfusion, and Superkombat.
