British fighter Mo Abdurahman announced on social media that he’ll take part in the K-1 Super Lightweight tournament scheduled for Saturday November 3 in Japan. Abdurahman is scheduled to face Japan’s Yodo Yoshida in the first round.
Abdurahman is the second ranked UK fighter in the 63.5 kg weight category behind Bailey Sugden of Glory. “Mighty Mo” is number one at 65 kg. Abdurahman fights for Team Lookborai under coach Dean Kendall.
Abdurahman regularly competes for the Superfight Series promotion (SFS). He recently battled Wang Zhendong of China at SFS V: The Art of War. Zhendong is affiliated with Chinese promotion EM Legend, and SFS and EM Legend matched fighters in a team kickboxing challenge between British and Chinese organizations for the first time (It was a 4-4 draw). Abdurahman also defeated Femi Akinade by stoppage in a WKA English title fight at SFS II.
