Le Banner to Fight in Japan in March

French legend Jerome Le Banner has won many titles during an accomplished kickboxing career, including ISKA and French titles.

The fighter known as “Geronimo” or “Cyborg” is best known for his fights in Japan for the legendary K-1 organization. Le Banner was twice a runner-up in the K-1 World Grand Prix, and a fan favorite for his larger than life personality and exciting bouts.

In March, the now 46-year-old will return to the “Land of the Rising Sun”, home of some of his greatest performances.

Le Banner is booked to face Japanese fighter Jairo Kusunoki, according to French fighting website Boxe Mag.

The bout is scheduled to take place on 02 March on the Heat 44 event. According to the report, the bout will be held under K-1 rules in the MMA cage.

Le Banner was booked to face Polish superstar Marcin Rozalski at a DSF Kickboxing Challenge event in Poland last year, but withdrew the week of the fight due to injury. He won a bout in Geneva, Switzerland last October.
