Jerome Le Banner kept a low profile in recent years. After losing to Sergei Kharitonov at Glory 13 Tokyo, the K-1 legend and former Glory star disappeared from the spotlight of the big shows. Le Banner didn’t stop fighting though. He put together a four fight win streak in his native France that included a win over Colin George from Mike’s Gym and current UFC fighter Karl Roberson.
Now, Le Banner is stepping back into the spotlight. He’ll face Polish fighter Marcin Rozalski in Warsaw on April 13 as the headline bout for DSF Kickboxing Challenge 14.
Rozalski is a former ISKA and WKA belt holder, but he’s competed in MMA for the past few years. The Polish fighter apparently hasn’t fought a kickboxing match since 2009, and is 39 years old. Le Banner, the older man at 45, will enter the ring after a two year layoff.
Le Banner is rarely in a bad fight, and the crowd should be loudly behind the heavily tattoed Rozalski. Should be fun while it lasts.
