Ismael Lazaar has a new opponent for his November 10 MAS fight bout in Macau.
The former Enfusion champion will now face Mark Godbeer of the U.K. at the event. Lazzar was previously scheduled to face Greek fighter Stavros Grigorakais.
Godbeer is an MMA veteran who’s competed for both Bellator and the UFC. Tapology lists his MMA record at 13-0-4 (wins-draws-losses), with nine wins coming by KO or TKO.
Godbeer announced his retirement from mixed martial arts last month on Facebook.
Lazaar’s career in the Netherlands suffered a setback in March, when the fighter was suspended for four years after he tested positive for banned substances. According to Dutch martial arts website Vechtsport Info NL, Lazaar appealed the ban.
Mas Fights are fought under a unique rule set. A fighter can only win by knockout, or by knocking down his opponent three times. There is only one round of nine minutes. If neither fighter knocks his opponent out, the bout is a draw.
