FEA Heavyweight Champion Roman Kryklia has been stripped of his title for refusing to face interim titlist Pavel Zhuravlev, the Fighting & Entertainment Association announced today.
Kryklia won the title at the FEA World GP 2018 event held last year in Chisinau, Moldova. The Ukrainian captured the belt by winning a four-man tournament, defeating Czech veteran Tomas Hron and Tsotne Rogava.
Since then, Kryklia hasn’t competed for the organization. Zhuravlev won the interim title with a second-round TKO over Mehmet Ozer at the FEA World GP Odessa in August.
Zhuravlev remains the organization’s interim champion. A heavyweight tournament will be held at the next FEA World GP event in Moldova in December, with the winner facing Zhuravlev for the FEA Heavyweight Title in early 2020.
