An Albert Kraus-Adsalam Barkinoev rematch is possible for a future ACB KB event, according to ACB KB Vice President Artem Levin. Barkinkhoev defeated Kraus by decision at last Friday’s ACB KB 16 event in Romania, although some observers (including the FightBox commentators) thought the decision should have gone in Kraus’s favor. The undefeated Barkinoev landed some good punches and inside low kicks on the Dutch veteran, before the former K-1 Max champion started to take control later in the fight.
“It is impossible not to note the return to the ring of Albert Kraus. I was impressed by his physical condition. For all three rounds he walked forward like a tank! His opponent also had a great, striking match, and the judicial decision might be in the one and in the other direction. I do not exclude the fact that at one of the events we will hold a rematch between Barkinkhoev and Kraus,” Levin said (translated from Russian), in a social media post.
Levin also said that he was pleased with the response by the Romanian fans, and it’s likely ACB KB returns there in the future.
