KOK Kaunas Card Coming Together

The King of Kings organization (KOK) begins its fall season next month with a 21 September event at the Zalgirio Arena in Kaunas, Lithuania’s second largest city.

The promotion started announcing fighters and matches for the event, with some of the organization’s biggest stars scheduled for action.

Title Fight Tops Bill

Headlining the event is an all-Lithuanian title bout between defending KOK World Lightweight Champion Henrikas Viksraitis and challenger Mindaugas Narauskas.

The two fighters previously met in a lightweight tournament final in 2017. Viksraitis knocked down his rival en route to a decision win.

Last month, Narauskas issued a challenge to Viksraitis, and now the fighters can settle the issue before the Lithuanian fans on 21 September.

Aukstikalnis Faces Liukaitis

Middleweight contender Raimonds Aukstikalnis will also be in action at the event. The young Latvian will be returning to the ring for the first time since an unsuccessful bid for the KOK World Middleweight Title in May.

Aukstikalnis faced Finland’s Daniel Forsberg for the vacant title at the KOK World Series event in Helsinki. He lost a close five-round decision to the Finn, who had previously bested Aukstikalnis by split decision in a hard-fought battle last October.

Aukstikalnis’s opponent is Karolis Liukaitis, a veteran from Lithuania who has competed numerous times for the organization.

UFC Veteran Stoliarenko Returns

The 21 September event will feature bouts contested under KOK Kickboxing rules, and also mixed martial arts contests.

On Sunday, the promotion announced UFC veteran Julija Stoliarenko will compete in an MMA bout at the Kaunas event.

Lithuanian Stoliarenko competed on Season 28 of the The Ultimate Fighter reality show. She lost a split decision to Leah Letson in the season finale in Las Vegas, but has rebounded with two straight victories. Both wins have come by arm-bar submission in the first round.

The KOK World GP 2019 in Kaunas will be televised internationally on FightBox HD, and streamed worldwide on pay-per-view on the KOK Fights TV streaming platform.
