There has been a late change to the tournament field for the 71 kg tournament taking place at KOK 60 Saturday in Tallinn, Estonia.
Turkish veteran Erkan Varol has replaced countryman Sinan Cagala, and faces Andreas Iversen of Norway in the first round. The other semifinal remains unchanged: Constantino Nanga of Sweden opposes Hendrik Themas of Estonia. The semifinal winners face each other in the finals in the evening’s last fight.
Varkol, 37, is a veteran with a lot of experience. He’s competed for W5, Mix Fight Gala, and also in the Tatneft Cup. He fought in the inaugural Zhara Fight event in Russia, where he lost a decision to Ramil Novruzov. He also co-promoted the KOK World Series in Turkey event in August, where thousands of fans assembled at an outdoor venue in Sarkoy to watch Turkish fighters compete.
KOK takes place at the Tondiraba Ice Hall in Tallinn, and will be broadcast live on the FightBox HD channel and the KOK Fights TV streaming platform.
