Netherlands-based fighters Mohamed Jaraya and Massaro Glunder will meet in a lightweight bout as part of the GLORY: Collision 2 event taking place on 21 December in Arnhem, Netherlands. GLORY Kickboxing announced the two fighters finalized their bout agreements for the contest.
Jaraya and Glunder train at two of Holland’s top gyms: Jaraya with the Colosseum Gym in Utrecht and Glunder at the legendary Mike’s Gym in Amsterdam.
They’ll both be hungry for victory.
Since joining GLORY after leaving Enfusion last year, Jaraya has 2 losses in 3 bouts. He was stopped in two rounds by Murthel Groenhart at GLORY 59 in September 2018, and lost via TKO to Stoyan Koprivlenski in June because of a cut.
It was rumored Jaraya would face Koprivlenski again in his next bout, but those rumors have been proven inaccurate.
Glunder halted a two-fight losing streak in October when he defeated Russia’s Arbi Emiev by decision at GLORY 69. It was his first bout back at lightweight (70 kg) after going 2-4 as a featherweight (65 kg).
Jaraya is currently the tenth-ranked GLORY lightweight. Glunder is unranked at the moment.
The Jaraya-Glunder bout is the first match to be officially added to the GLORY: Collision 2 undercard. The event is headlined by the long-awaited rematch between GLORY Heavyweight Champion Rico Verhoeven and former K-1 star Badr Hari. The Verhoeven-Hari bout is a non-title bout scheduled for five rounds.
