Dutch martial arts website Vechtsport Info NL caught up with veteran heavyweight Ismael “Mr. Pain” Londt.
The Surinamese-Dutch warrior, the 2012 K-1 World Heavyweight GP Runner-Up and a former Superkombat titleholder, is back in training and planning a return to the ring.
Londt has kept a low profile since a decision loss to D’Angelo Marshall at GLORY 49 in December 2017.
The 33-year-old is currently training at the ARJ Trainingen dojo with coach Maikel Polanen, and told the site he’d like to fight “A maximum of three more years” before retiring.
ONE Super Series contender Tarik Khbabez is one of the fighters Londt is training with there.
Londt established himself as a top-ten heavyweight over the years. The fighters Londt has defeated include current GLORY contender Jahfarr Wilnis, Hesdy Gerges, Czech veteran Tomas Hron, and Mladen “Scorpion Sting” Brestovac.
He told the site he doesn’t have a date scheduled for his ring return yet.
