GLORY middleweight contender Joe “Son of a Legend” Taylor will challenge for a U.S. title in June, promoter Lace Up Promotions announced.
Taylor is scheduled to face Jay Jackson for a WKA U.S. Title on 8 June at the Kenan Arena in Lockport, New York.
According to the announcement, Taylor hasn’t fought in the area for “over a year”. The fighter is from the upstate New York area.
Taylor, the son of a standout professional boxer and former Golden Gloves champion himself, is currently the eighth-ranked GLORY middleweight. He’s 2-1 in bouts with the organization, and listed at 6-2 overall after getting a late start in the sport.
In his last GLORY appearance, Taylor defeated Ivan Galaz of Chile by split decision at GLORY 63.
