GLORY Kickboxing announced Tuesday it has entered into a partnership with the Litecoin Foundation, an entity that promotes the Litecoin cryptocurrency.
According to the press release, the Litecoin Foundation is “a non-profit organization whose mission is to advance Litecoin for the good of society by developing and promoting state-of-the-art blockchain technologies”.
As part of the deal, the GLORY online Shop will accept Litecoin as a form of payment for merchandise. Special promotions are planned as part of the partnership, and fans will be able to purchase “exclusive offers, including athlete meet-and-greets, backstage arena tours, limited-edition merchandise and premium in-arena seating” from the GLORY online shop with Litecoin.
Litecoin is a well-known cryptocurrency developed by Charlie Lee. It’s currently ranked fifth among cryptocurrencies in market capitalization, according to the Coin Market Cap website.
GLORY boss Marshall Zelaznik gave his thoughts on the new partnership in the press release.
“A partnership with Litecoin, which offers one of the fastest transaction confirmation speeds of any cryptocurrency, makes perfect sense for GLORY and our fans as we put on the fastest fight action in the combat sports world. With both companies also being young, dynamic and achieving consistent year-on-year growth, GLORY could not have found a more fitting cryptocurrency partner,” he said.
