Glory released an updated card for the Glory 51 Superfight Series event March 3 at the Rotterdam Ahoy in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Josh Jauncey is off the card because of an injury, and will be re-booked for a future event.
Cedric Doumbe will attempt to get back on track after losing his title to Murthel Groenhart last year. Doumbe faces Alim “The Professor” Nayibev in the main event. Nayibev, fighting out of Russia, is 2-0 in Glory and beat former champion Nieky Holzken by decision last December.
Massaro Glunder, who made it to the final of the lightweight tournament last summer before losing to teammate Chris Baya, will try to get back in the win column against Victor Pinto. Glunder is the son of fighter Rodney Glunder and fights out of the world-famous Mike’s Gym in Amsterdam. He’s on a three fight losing streak since his stoppage win over Niclas Larsen. Pinto is 1-1 in Glory. He lost to Giga Chikadze by stoppage in his debut at Glory 37, but rebounded with a split decision win over Adrian Maxim at Glory 44 in Chicago last summer.
In a lightweight contest, “Moroccan-Dutch phenom” Tyjani Beztati will face Anil Cabri, who replaces Jauncey. Beztati is huge for the 69 kg weight class, standing 6 feet 2 inches tall. He’s only 20 years of age, and already 5-1 in Glory. Cabri is making his Glory debut, but has competed in Enfusion in the past.
Per custom, the Glory Superfight Series will be streamed live on UFC FIGHT PASS at 1pm EST, 10 am on the West Coast.
Those interested in attending the event live in Rotterdam can visit tickets.gloryboxing.com for more information. A ticket to the Superfight Series also includes the Glory 51 main card featuring Badr Hari and Hesdy Gerges.
