GLORY 53 Prelims Announced
GLORY Kickboxing announced the prelims for the GLORY 53 event taking place next Saturday in Lille, France. The Glory 53 prelims take place before the GLORY 53 Superfight Series and GLORY 53 main cards, and the top three bouts will be streamed live and free on the GLORY YouTube channel, the PLUTO TV ott service, and also the GLORY Facebook page. The action begins at 11:45 EST/08:45 PST.

Welterweight B-Class Bout: Jordan Fichelle vs. Stanislas Diarra
GLORY 53 is headlined by lightweight champion Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong defending his title against up and coming contender Tyjani Beztati. Anissa Meksen defends her super bantamweight belt against Amel Dehby also. The GLORY 53 Superfight Series features Cedric Doumbe versus Thongchai Sitsongpeenong in the main event, and there is also a four man featherweight tournament scheduled. Crowd pleasing welterweight Mohamed Jaraya takes on Alan Scheinson in a welterweight attraction.
Rami Ibrahim Retires
Veteran Muay Thai fighter Rami Ibrahim retired after unifying WKA and USKA titles last weekend in Philadelphia. Ibrahim, known as “Son of Palestine”, was born in Kuwait and lived there as child but his family is of Palestinian descent. He moved to the U.S. when he was around 8 years old, and eventually got involved in Muay Thai. A veteran of over 50 pro fights and over 100 amateur bouts, Ibrahim has fought in Lion Fight and other promotions and also operates the Rami Elite school in his adopted hometown of Philadelphia. The Palestinian-American fighter defeated Quade Taranaki of New Zealand to win the belts.

British Star Watson Off Enfusion Newcastle Card
British kickboxing standout Jordan Watson is unable to compete on the June 9 Coalition Promotions/Enfusion event in Newcastle. Watson was scheduled to face Dutch fighter Regilio Van Den Ent in the headline bout, but Watson announced this week on social media that he ruptured ligaments in his hand while sparring. A replacement headline bout will be announced.
All Star Muay Thai Announces More Events
As previously mentioned here, Buakaw’s next fight is against Victor Nagbe on May 21 at All Star Fight 4 in Hong Kong. The promotion has announced some more dates after the Hong Kong show.
