FEA World GP Odessa: Fight Card Updates

The Fighting & Entertainment Association of Moldova (FEA) officially added more bouts to its upcoming debut event in Ukraine.

The FEA World GP Odessa takes place on 24 August at the city’s Palace of Sports, and will be streamed worldwide on FEA Fights TV.

Previously announced was a champion vs champion main event featuring multiple-time champion Pavel “The Caiman” Zhuravlev of Ukraine and Iran’s Iraj Azizpour, the 2018 KLF World Heavyweight Champion and 2019 runner-up. The bout will be for the organization’s interim heavyweight title.

More matches have been finalized, including a super fight featuring a former GLORY champion, and a four-man tournament involving triple-champion Constantin Rusu.

Adamchuk in Action

Former GLORY Featherweight Champion Serhii Adamchuk was announced for the card Saturday.

Adamchuk, who trains at Mike’s Gym in Amsterdam but hails from Ukraine, will meet Simon Santana.

Santana fights out of Norway by way of Spain, and is a WBC Muay Thai Scandinavia Champion and has also competed at a high level under kickboxing rules. He’s a top five contender in the KOK promotion, and recently competed for the Glory of Heroes organization in China.

Four Man Tournament Added

In addition to the Zhuravlev-Azizpour and Adamchuk-Santana bouts, a four-man tournament will be held to crown a lightweight champion. The lightweight tournament was made official today.

The four fighters announced are:
Stanislav Kazantsev (Ukraine)-W5 and ACB KB veteran
Zhora Akopyan (Armenia)-Fights out of the Gridin Gym in Belarus, and is a 2019 Tatneft Cup Semifinalist.
Constantin Rusu (Moldova)-the reigning KOK and FEA Welterweight Champion. Recently won the WKL 75 kg K-1 Rules Title with a victory over Ricardo Fernandes in Portugal in June.
Furkan Karabag (Turkey)-Karabag is a Turkish champion, and defeated Mouhammad Zahdou of France at a KOK World Series event held in June.

The semifinal bouts have been finalized. Kazantsev meets Akopyan, while Rusu and Karabag will face one another, with the winners competing for the FEA Lightweight Title later in the evening.

Womens Bout Scheduled

Also confirmed for the event is a women’s super fight in the strawweight division. Turkey’s Funda Alkayis meets Ruslana Vyniavskaya of Ukraine. FEA fans are familiar with both ladies. Vyniavskaya faced popular Moroccan Esma Hasshass last year at the FEA vol.28 event where she lost by extra-round decision. Alkayis was defeated by Moldova’s Nadejda Cantir in March.
