Enfusion Talents #61 took place Saturday in Oberhausen, Germany. The event featured an Enfusion Ladies title fight between Germany’s Johanna Kruse and Sarah Gobel of the Netherlands. In the four man Abu Dhabi Qualifier tournament, Nordin van Roosmalen earned a place in the finals with close decision victories.
-72.5 kg: Nordin van Roosmalen (NLD) Mohammad Lazrak (MAR)- Decision (Abu Dhabi Qualifying Tournament Final)
van Roosmalen earned a berth in the December 7 Abu Dhabi eight-man tournament, winning an extra round decision over Lazrak in the tournament final. van Roosmalen came forward while the taller Lazrak looked to throw and then keep distance. Not a lot separated the fighters after three rounds, and van Roosmalen may have nicked it by being busier in the close fourth round. Some fans booed the decision. van Roosmalen improves to 73-0-2(49). Lazrak is now 28-0-9(14).
-64 kg: Andrej Bruhl (DEU) def. Soufiane Kaddouri (MAR)-Decision
Bruhl positioned himself for a possible title shot with a decision win over champion Kaddouri in an entertaining non-title bout. There was some good back and forth action, with Bruhl hurting Kaddouri with some punches in round two. Kaddouri started aggressively in round three, but later in the round Bruhl was getting the better of the exchanges. No knockdowns. Bruhl improves to 81-2-10(27). Kaddouri suffers his fifth loss, and is now 25-0-5(14).
-67 kg: Johanna Kruse (DEU) def. Sarah Gobel (NLD)-Decision (Kruse Wins Enfusion Ladies 67 kg Title, 5 x 2)
Kruse scored with the jab effectively early, as Gobel came forward on the taller German fighter. A Kruse right hurt Gobel, and another right dropped the Dutch fighter late in round one. Kruse landed a lot of clean punches on Gobel, and the Dutch fighter was given another eight count late in round two. Kruse continued to get the better of the action, but Gobel did have some moments, scoring with knees in the clinch late in the fight. Kruse improves to 35-1-5(14). Gobel is now 14-0-4(3).
-72.5 kg: Nordin van Roosmalen (NLD) def. Bilal Loukili (MAR)- Decision (Abu Dhabi Qualifier Semifinal 2)
Loukili seemed to outscore van Roosmalen, throwing more and finishing his punch combos nicely with low kicks. van Roosmalen is the more powerful hitter, and did some nice scoring at close range with his boxing. The judges favored van Roosmalen after three rounds. Loukili is now 35-2-4(10).
-72.5 kg: Mohammad Lazrak (MAR) def. Karim Allouss (MAR)- TKO Round 2 (Abu Dhabi Qualifier Semifinal 1)
Lazrak landed a big right hand that dropped Allouss in round two. Allouss got up and the bout was soon halted by ref Joop Ubeda with Allouss still dazed.
-63 kg: Hamza Essalih (MAR) def. Eddy Nait Slimani (FRA)-Extra Round Decision
Close fight. Essalih seemed to have outworked Slimani in rounds two and three, but an extra round was called. Essalih edged the extra round to get the win and improve to 48-2-4. Slimani slips to 72-0-5.
-67 kg: Khalid El Moukadam (MAR) def. Ali Rezaie (DEU)-Unanimous Decision
Moukadam, 21, used his quickness and footwork in getting the better of Rezaie. Both men landed with some good techniques. Moukadam’s best round was the third as Rezaie seemed to slow. Moukadam improves to 12-0-1(3). Ali Rezaie is now 30-1-4(3).
