Enfusion Talents #54 Results from Groningen

Glorious Heroes and Enfusion presented Enfusion Talents #54 Saturday in Groningen, Netherlands. Popular youngster Kevin Henneken got back on the winning track. Holzken Gym fighter Nick Gruijters outpointed Adam El Hammouchi. In the main event, Clyde Brusnwijk stopped tough veteran Fred Sikking with a knee to the head in the last round.

Clyde Brunswijk (SUR) TKO3 Fred Sikking (HOL)-95kg
Bruswijk got a stoppage win over veteran Sikking in the last round of a heavyweight slugfest. Brunswijk landed a solid knee to the head that opened a cut on Sikking close to between the eyes, and the fight was halted. Brunswijk had the better of the action in the bout, landing more often with some hard shots. Sikking showed his chin and was game but looked behind when the bout was halted. Brunswijk improves to 45-1-9(10). Sikking slips to 48-1-26(18).

Kevin Henneken (HOL) WD3 Shamil Uvaysov (BEL)-67kg
Henneken got some ring time as he cruised to a points win over late substitute Uvaysov. Uvaysov was cautious, but opened up more as the bout progressed. Henneken was the bigger and sharper fighter. Henneken, 18, improves to 21-1-4(7). Uvaysov, who took the bout on a day’s notice, is now 1-2.

Martin Reemeijer (HOL) KO1 Ray Nijmeijer (HOL)-86kg
Nijmeijer came out aggressively and was nailed by a big Reemeijer punch that dropped him. Nijmeijer beat the count but soon ran into a huge right that felled him. Nijmeijer was out on the canvas and the bout was halted. Nijmeijer required medical attention from the devastating knockout. Reemeijer improves to 19-2-5(5) with the win. Nijmeijer is now 10-3-9(2).

Nick Gruijters (HOL) UD3 Adam El Hammouchi (MOR)-61kg
El Hammouchi was the busier fighter early, as the southpaw Gruijters pressed and looked for openings. Gruijters stunned El Hammouchi with a counter left late in the first round. Gruijters pressed the action in the second but El Hammouchi started to score well late in the round. Gruijters looked to counter El Hammouchi’s rights and step in knees with his powerful left hand. El Hammouchi seemed to outscore Gruijters in the last round, but Gruijters won unanimously as he landed the more damaging blows. Gruijters, from Team Holzken, improves to 35-2-8(2). Hammouchi is now 22-4(9).

Khalid El Moukadam (MOR) WD3 Amier Abdulahad (EGY)-67kg
Moukadam was too quick and sharp for Abdulahad in a match up between two young up and coming fighters. Moukadam pressured the 18-year-old with quick punches and followed with low kicks, and was able to make Abdulahad miss or moved out of range. Abdulahad landed some good shots, but Moukadam’s workrate and pressure made him a clear winner. Moukadam improves to 10-1(3). Abdulahad is now 4-2(3).

Jeroen de Groot (HOL) WD3 Fernando Goodings-95kg
de Groot built up an early lead and survived a third round assault from Goodings to get the decision. Goodings ate some solid low kicks in the bout, and appeared hurt from the kicks twice. In the third, Goodings rocked the more fatigued de Groot with punches on the inside, but it wasn’t enough to overcome de Groot’s edge in the first two rounds. de Groot is now 28-4-14(7). Goodings is now 12-1-6(5).

Zacky Derouich(MOR) WD3 Romano Duin (HOL)-72.5kg
Morocco’s Derouich and Duin engaged in a crowd pleasing back and forth battle. Derouich, a southpaw, tagged Duin with some solid left hands and low kicks and seemed to hurt Duin with a knee to the body in the second round. Duin landed some good blows, and was the fresher fighter in the third round as Derouich seemed to tire and bled from the nose. Derouich improves to 12-2(7) with the win. Duin is now 1-1 as a pro.
