Iman Barlow, one of the top female fighters in the UK, will fight on the Muay Thai Grand Prix 20 event in London on November 10, the promotion announced on social media. Barlow’s opponent will be announced later.
Barlow is the reigning Enfusion 54 kg champion, and successfully defended her title with a decision over Lara Fernandez at Enfusion 68 in June. The Brit is closing in on 100 wins-the victory over Fernandez was her 97th against three draws and six defeats. She also holds a title in the Muay Thai Grand Prix (MTGP) promotion.
MTGP is a partner of Lion Fight Promotions, and regularly promotes events throughout Europe. Their last London event featured a highly anticipated all-Britain clash between Liam Harrison and Charlie Peters, won by Peters via decision.
Other fighters announced for the November event include MTGP champion Carlton Lieu, and kickboxing standout Luke Whelan. Whelan recently defeated Vinny Church, who competed on the Glory 54 card in England in June. Whelan is the top rated kickboxer at 70 kg in the U.K., but will drop down to 67 kg and fight for a title in the November event.
