For months, fans and media wondered when top Enfusion fighters Tayfun “Turkish Turbine” Ozcan and Endy “Bad News” Semeleer would finally face each other. Both hold titles in the organization and are on impressive winning streaks, defeating opponent after opponent.
The wait is over.
Enfusion announced today Ozcan (the reigning Enfusion 72.5 kg champion) and Semeleer (the organization’s 75 kg king) will finally face one another on 23 February in Eindhoven, Netherlands. Ozcan’s title will be on the line.
Semeleer, 23, rose to prominence in 2017, winning the year-end tournament in Abu Dhabi. This year, he added the 75 kg title to his collection with a win over Aziz Kallah, and also defeated former champion Redouan Laarkoubi and tough contender Marouan Toutouh. Semeleer competed in last weekend’s Enfusion Al Shiraa World Grand Prix tournament, but was forced to withdraw due to illness after defeating Toutouh in the quarterfinals.
Ozcan has also had an impressive year. The 27-year-old stopped legend Andy Souwer in February, and also defeated Mohamed Khamal and Ardalan Sheikholeslami inside the distance. In his last bout in October, Ozcan defeated SUPERKOMBAT champion Amansio Paraschiv on points.
Both fighters are known for being in exciting fights, and this one should also deliver.
