Glorious Heroes and Enfusion presented Enfusion: The Diamond Edition Saturday in Groningen, Netherlands. Tayfun Ozcan put on another amazing performance, stopping tough veteran Mohamed Khamal in three rounds. In a ladies title bout, Sarel De Jong won 64kg honors with a unanimous points win over young Chellina Chirino.

The bout started fast with both fighters scoring. Khamal caught a couple of Ozcan push kicks and countered with punches. Ozcan was pressuring Khamal and ate some clean shots coming forward. Ozcan was landing hard punches of his own. Ozcan knocked out Khamal’s mouthpiece with a right hand. Late in the round, a long Ozcan right dropped Khamal. Khamal got up but was knocked down by more punches. Ozcan hurt Khamal again early in the second round, and Khamal’s punches didn’t have the same effect as he absorbed some good punches. Another Ozcan knockdown was set up by a couple of inside low kicks followed by a right hand. Ozcan was dominating in the last round and Khamal was not offering much resistance. After another knockdown, Khamal’s corner threw in the towel. Another impressive win for Ozcan, who won Fighter of the Night honors.
Lofti Serghini (MOR) TKO1 Robin Ciric (HOL)-82kg
Serghini stunned the more experienced Ciric, blasting him out in 24 seconds. Serghini came out fast, firing a couple of low kicks and pressuring Ciric. Ciric had his gloves up and Serghini fired a three punch combination. Ciric threw a left hook and was tagged by a right hook to the head that crashed him to the canvas. Ciric beat the count but the bout was waved off at the 24 second mark. Serghini is now 10-2(7). Ciric’s record slips to 34-4(8).
Nordin van Roosmalen (HOL) WD3 Nickey Lopez (HOL)-75kg
The 20-year-old van Roosmalen had difficulties with Lopez, who switches back and forth between orthodox and southpaw. van Roosmalen was able to land some good left hand punches, and the judges favored his power and aggression. van Roosmalen is now 68-1(49). Lopez’s record is now 25-3-14(3).
Endy Semeleer TKO2 Paul Jansen-72.5kg
Semeleer showed the speed and power that makes him one of the most exciting young fighters in the sport. Semeleer’s speed got him the better of the exchanges, and he was able to crack Jansen with some good shots when Jansen moved forward. Jansen was able to get in a few shots. A Semeleer left caused a deep gash above Jansen’s right eyebrow in round two and the bout was stopped. Semeleer is now 52-1(12). Jansen is 27-8(13).
Luis Tavares (HOL) UD3 Kamran Aminzadeh (IRAN)-95+ kg (non-title fight)
Enfusion heavyweight champion Tavares tuned up for his September showdown with Daniel Ghita with an easy points win over Aminzadeh. After a feeling out first round, Tavares upped his workrate in the second. Tavares knocked down Aminzadeh with a left hand in the third round. The bout resembled a sparring session with Aminzadeh defensive minded throughout. Tavares improves to 52-7(22). Aminzadeh is now 45-8(10).
Sarel de Jong (HOL) UD5 Chellina Chirino (CUR)-64kg Enfusion Ladies Title Fight
de Jong avenged a previous knockout loss to Chirino in a title battle between two young talents. de Jong, 21, landed some nice knees in the clinch and scored with low kicks as Chirino, 19, looked to move in with punches. de Jong used teeps also to control the distance. When the two ladies exchanged, de Jong got the better of the action, and the judges awarded her the decision unanimously. de Jong improves to 27-1-3(3). Chirino’s record is now 75-3-6(16).
Marwan Toutouh (MOR) WD3 Armen Hovhannisjan (ARM)-75kg
Toutouh was too much for Hovhannisjan, controlling distance and showing a good defense and nice combinations. Hovhannisjan, the shorter fighter, looked to land big punches but Toutouh made him miss often. Hovhannisjan tried to open up early in the third, but Toutouh pushed him back with some hard low kicks. Toutouh improves to 39-4(8). Hovhannisjan is now 9-4(7).
