Lion Fight champion Regian Eersel has a new opponent for his title defense Saturday at Lion Fight 50. Eersel (51-0-4), a Suriname native who now resides in the Netherlands, will face Sweden’s Joakim Hagg (22-12).

Eersel was scheduled to face Thailand’s Talaythong Sor. Thanapetch. Apparently, visa issues caused the fight to be cancelled. Hagg is a native of Gothenburg, Sweden, and has won three bouts this year, according to the press release. It’s Hagg’s debut for the Lion Fight promotion. Eersel will be making the third defense of his Lion Fight Super Middleweight Title.

In another late change to the card, local favorite Josh Aragon now faces Chris Mauceri in a super welterweight clash.
