Former GLORY welterweight champion Cedric “The Best” Doumbe is taking no shortcuts as he prepares to take on reigning division king Harut Grigorian at GLORY 64 on March 9.
The French fighter ventured to the Siam Gym in the Netherlands to train with none other than Enfusion 72.5 kg champion Tayfun “The Turkish” Turbine Ozcan.
Both men have big matches ahead in the upcoming weeks.
While Doumbe faces Harut at GLORY 64 in Strasbourg, France, Ozcan will collide with fellow Enfusion champion Endy “Bad News” Semeleer at the massive Enfusion 78/79 gala in Eindhoven, Netherlands on 23 February.
Doumbe won the GLORY Welterweight World Title from Nieky Holzken in December 2016, and successfully defended twice before he lost the belt to Murthel Groenhart. After losing a decision to Alim Nabiyev at GLORY 51 last March, Doumbe has won three fights in a row, including stoppage wins over Thongchai and Alan Scheinson, a Hemmers Gym teammate of Harut.
