DFS 4: Big Hitter in TV Ratings

Romanian promotion Dynamite Fighting Show announced some of the numbers from last night’s Dynamite Fighting Show 4 event, and the show delivered a big punch with the Romanian TV audience.

Dynamite Fighting Show 4 was headlined by a heavyweight bout between popular Romanian fighter Catalin Morosanu and Daniel Sam of the United Kingdom. Both fighters are known in Romania. Morosanu, in addition to being a fighter, has also been a politician and appeared in Romanian reality shows. Sam has fought in Romania a few times in his career.

Morosanu defeated Sam by unanimous decision yesterday in a hard-hitting bout that featured four knockdowns.

According to the organization, the PRO TV-televised event garnered a rating of 5.1 and an audience share of 28.1 between 11:20 p.m and midnight. That means nearly 1 in 3 televisions in the country were tuned in to watch GLORY contender Benjamin Adegbuyi compete in a pro boxing match, and Morosanu face Sam in a rematch under K-1 rules.

Over 3,000 fans attended the event live, and Morosanu announced it was his last bout in Romania later.
