RUS Gym coach Ruslan Kryvusha has spoken out about the judging after Khaial “Hulk” Dzhaniev lost a decision to Sorin Caliniuc in a tournament held Thursday in Bucharest, Romania.

Dzhaniev, along with fellow GLORY veterans Chris “Bad News” Baya, Dylan Salvador, and local standout Caliniuc competed in a four-man tournament at the Gala SAS Gym, broadcast nationally in Romania on the Pro X channel.

Dzhaniev defeated Baya to advance to the finals, while Caliniuc won a decision over Salvador.

In the tournament final, Caliniuc was awarded the decision over Dzhaniev. According to the trainer, the local fighter was wrongly given the decisions both against Salvador in the semifinals and Dzhaniev in the final.

“In the second semifinal bout, by some miracle, the judges presented the victory to the local fighter Sorin Caliniuc  without even paying attention to the heavy knockdown and left in shock the famous fighter Dylan Salvador team,” Kryvusha wrote in a post on social media (translated).

“In the final , the judges once again confidently showed that their fighter could be defeated only by knockout. Khayal confidently won all 3 rounds while not missing a single precise accented strike, but raised his hand to the opponent. Unfortunately it happens, but you need to move on!,” he said.

According to the trainer, even the ring announcer and “local guys” apologized after the decision was given to Caliniuc instead of Dzhaniev.

Dzhaniev also expressed his disappointment after his coach spoke out.

“I have nothing to add, shame on such judges and organizations, and on such “champions” !!!,” the fighter wrote.
